Track

Track Cycling become hugely popular since the Olympic Games in Beijing & we are lucky living in Kirklees that the home of Olympic stars Chris Hoy & Victoria Pendleton & Huddersfield's Ed Clancy,
Manchester Velodrome, is only an hour away.

Playing football at Old Trafford or Anfield could only happen in your wildest dreams but anyone can turn up at the Manchester Track & ride what is one of the World's finest & fastest wooden tracks. Taster
sessions are open to anyone who can ride a bike over the age of 9 & once accredited riders can take part in training sessions under supervision of the Velodrome coaches.

There are Track Leagues for the more competitive cyclists on Monday, Tuesday & Friday & KCA will be having regular club sessions throughout the year.

For more information on Manchester go to

In our area there is also Grass Track racing in Roundhay Park, Leeds. Similar to riding at the Velodrome as far as equipment& events go but as the name suggests it takes place on a grass oval rather than a wooden one.

Events start in late Spring into Summer & you can get more information at this link http://www.cycleroundhay.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1

We look forward to helping you develop the skills and techniques to enjoy the excitement of track cycling as both a participant and through any club visits to the Velodrome where we may be spectators.
