Go-Ride racing is the British Cycling programme, supported by Sky that helps cycling clubs such as the KCA set up a fun, racing programme for younger or less experienced cyclists.
Riders are given race numbers, we use a lap board, last lap bell and all riders compete in 4 to 5 different races from individual time trial, scratch race, paced devil, team pursuit at each Go-Ride racing event held at the KCA and score points.
No experience is necessary as our accredited coaching staff and experienced volunteers are on hand to advise all those that enter on the format of each race.
Following a succesful Go-Ride Race series in 2010, we are better prepared than ever for 2011.
This year, our Go-Ride Racing series will be a combination of Road and Grass based events. Riders can pick their 3 best scores from the 5 race series we are running between June and August 2011 and prizes will be awarded at the end with local press coverage for the winners of each category.
Road based Go-Ride Racing will be held at Richard Dunn Sports Centre, Bradford on thier 1km race circuit. Grass based racing on Cyclo-Cross or Mountain bikes will be held at our base, Spen Valley Sports College, Roberttown Lane, Liversedge.
Dates for the 2011 series will be published by the end of April 2011.
